One of BioShock Infinite's Heavy Hitters, the Motorized Patriots are mechanical automatons that once served as tour guides in the city of Columbia. Their origin story is detailed in BioShock Infinite Industrial Revolution.
Motorized Patriots carry Peppermill machine guns, one of many Weapons in BioShock Infinite. Upon defeating a Patriot, Booker can pick up and use the Peppermill.
The player first encounters the Motorized Patriot in the Hall of Heroes.
First encounter with the Motorized patriot can be difficult depending on the players weapon loadouts, and lack of offensive vigors. Murder of Crows and Bucking Bronco are useless. Possession almost immedtiately negated. Devil's Kiss being the only one in possession to show some use. But this is offset by the battlefield you find yourself in. With multiple tears containing Medkits, Salts, and a Turret.
Later battles will be fought with Shock Jockey in your possession, this makes things much easier. The Patriot is very vulnerable to electricity. Being stunned then firing on them indiscriminently or following Elizabeth's advice to circle around to attack its vulnerable gears will quickly bring down the mechanized foe.
Late in the game the battle's will be even easier for the possession of the Return to Sender vigor. Its secondary feature lets you catch and hold all the shots sent your way by the Patriots Gattling gun, then return them for a powerful explosive attack. So resist the urge at this point to Shock them and instead let the poor tin soldier wind up, sow the seeds, then reap the whirlwind.
